Join the Master Teacher Project
Are you a talented science teacher with a passion for the Next Generation Science Standards? Are you an NEA member ready to "share what works” in your classroom? Then we want you to share your great lessons next year and apply for the BetterLesson Master Teacher Project. Watch this Master Teacher Video to learn more. Master Teachers receive a $15,000 stipend for their work. The application deadline is May 16th, 2014.
We are looking for teachers who are:
Experienced Educators: NEA members with at least 3 years of teaching experience, certified in current grade level and subject, teaching a k-12 NGSS-aligned course in ‘14-’15
Curriculum Developers: Leverage experience with the Next Gen. and CCSS to share a year’s worth of lessons
Inspiring Writers: Reflect critically about their teaching methods; write clear, inspiring lessons for a teacher audience with a strong, first person voice; have experience editing and revising
Tech Savvy Pioneers: Excited to engage in this virtual, highly collaborative project, and integrate instructional technology to drive student learning
How do I apply?
Click below apply online. To identify the best and brightest NEA teachers in the United States, the application process will be intensive. Please note, you must complete the application in one attempt (approximately 20-30 minutes), there is no option to save.

Create a BetterLesson Account/Profile and explore several lessons made by current Master Teachers to deepen your understanding of this work. Follow the link to our website (cc.betterlesson.com) and create a (free) teacher profile. We are looking for teachers who can engage and excite our community, so please be creative!
